About Us
My name is Steve Norris, and I’m the owner of ameriCARE of Greater Richmond, a non-medical home care agency providing personal care, companion care, and respite support.
My passion for senior care began early as I watched my grandmother care for her mother, and it grew stronger as my family supported my wife’s uncle through Alzheimer’s. Seeing the impact that compassionate caregivers can make inspired me to join this industry.
Before launching ameriCARE of Greater Richmond, I led the product management team for McKesson’s $6B e-commerce platform and spent many years in healthcare IT serving Fortune 500 companies here in Richmond.
My family and I have lived in Richmond’s west end for 18 years, and I started this company to serve the seniors in the community we love. Our mission is simple: to improve every life we touch—both caregiver and client.
